There’s been some discussion on our site about the possibility that Medium may be canceled. It’s true that Medium has done poorly in the ratings this season compared to CBS Fridays last season, but so have its bretheen Numb3rs and Ghost Whisperer. But I significantly doubt that CBS would cancel two of its Friday shows in a single season, no matter how far they fall. So, like the joke about the two guys running from the bear, all Medium needs to do to survive for another season is outrun Numb3rs.

The Good Wife is doing a bit below average ratings for CBS. On NBC it would be a hit. On ABC or Fox it would be safe. On CBS, something’s gotta go, that puts it on the bubble for next season. The New Adventures of Old Christine and Gary Unmarried’s low ratings could be tolerated for yet another season if CBS sticks to its goal of a second “comedy block”, but don’t be surprised if Christine goes and Gary stays.

A Clip from the Sesame Street Episode (or segment) Patricia Arquette starred in (via HULU.com). She and this muppet character here are talking about how big the word "Metamorphosis" is and how much fun it is to say it. It's pretty damn cute and hillarious when Patricia ends up getting changed into a Pinguin.

Betrayed, the second installment in the bestselling House of Night series, is dark and sexy, and as thrilling as it is utterly shocking.
Fledgling vampyre Zoey Redbird has managed to settle in at the House of Night. She’s come to terms with the vast powers the vampyre goddess, Nyx, has given her, and is getting a handle on being the new Leader of the Dark Daughters, the school’s most elite group. Best of all, Zoey’s made some new friends and she finally feels like she belongs--like she really fits in. She actually has a boyfriend…or two. And despite the best efforts of her mother and step-loser John to humiliate her publically during parent visitation, she’s earned the respect of her professors and High Priestess, Neferet.
Then the unthinkable happens: human teenagers are being killed, and all the evidence points to the House of Night, straining human-vamp tensions in Tulsa to a breaking point. While danger stalks the humans from Zoey’s old life, she finds herself drawn into an intoxicating forbidden flirtation that threatens to distract her from the growing crisis. Then, when she needs her new friends the most, death strikes the House of Night. Too late, Zoey begins to realize that the very powers that make her so unique might also threaten those she loves, and she must find the courage to face a betrayal that could break her heart, her soul, and jeopardize the very fabric of her world.

I am officially addicted to this series! It is a different take on vampires and I really am enjoying it! I actually love that it takes place in a school setting and the twist at the end of the book makes me excited to read the rest of the books in this series! I can't wait to see what others think of this series so far.

Books read this year: 48/50.

S
ince the beginning of December (the third to be exact), I've been tweeking what little there was available at the MEDIUM Wikia; No, not the wetpaint version of a Wiki page (which is quite frankly pretty lame looking and highly unorganized), the other Wiki website. Unfortunately, there's alot to be done and not just one (or two in this case) person can maintain an entire website, especially to a subject with multiple areas that need covering from all sides.

With that said, I'm hoping to recruit some help from NBC_MEDIUM, preferably from some users with a good background knowledge of the series, are good with writing up articles (particularly summaries for episodes and triva), not a single paragraph with a brief description of actors, characters, episodes, or the production and crew.

I also need someone who's familiar with Wikia HTML coding, as I'm still pretty baffled by the entire subject. The Wikia needs HTML INFO-BOX codes for the following:

  1. Characters
  2. Actors
  3. Crew
  4. Broadcasting Stations
  5. Season Article Pages
  6. Episode Guides
  7. Quotes (or Quote of the Day)

I would love to the place up and running like this Ghost Whisperer Wikia in particular (hell or even the Lost Wikia). My only request is that you register for a Wikia account instead of editing something as a "Unregistered User", as that's a major welcome for Spammers and Trolls who thrive off Vanalism (especially once the Wikia becomes established enough to attract attention to users outside of the Fandom).

I doubt I'll get any bites here, but I figure I'd throw this out and let anyone know.

Puh-leeze do not mistake this for one of those scientifically produced, computer algorithm-culled, 'Best Of 2009' lists that you see in comics curious magazines like Newsweek and Wizard. This is purely the product of one seriously scatterbrained blogger who has been obsessing over funnybooks for far too long, yet still feels woefully behind in his reading. (Hell, truth be told, most of these books came out pre-2009!) The only criteria for inclusion in this list was this: Out of every comic I curled up with, huddled over, and ate my favorite meals with in the past twelve months, which ones do I still think of most?Read more... )

Patricia Arquette is among the nominees for the 16th annual Screen Actors Guild awards! She has been nominated for Best Actress in a Drama Series along with six other actresses (a vote which resulted in a tie, apparently). No Nomination for the entire cast though :(. Check out the list behind the cut for other nominess of the SAG Awards.

Jake Weber is "not interested in inviting scrutiny." But when you're the co-star of a successful TV series, that stuff happens. While he's eating lunch in a Los Angeles cafe, two young women can't resist coming over to say how much they admire his work and enjoy "Medium."

He's amused that the interruption comes just at the moment that he's talking about the "recognition aspect" of a TV star's life, which he says is "disingenuous for actors to complain about" even though he's not someone who would ever want to see details of his personal life in print.

"Medium," now in summer reruns on NBC, attracted an average 13.9 million viewers weekly in its first season. Patricia Arquette, who plays a crime-solving psychic who communicates with the dead, was nominated for an acting Emmy this month.
